Henri Giraud
This family of winegrowers, part of the closed circle of the Union des maisons de champagne (UMC), has been established in the village of Aÿ since the 17th century, and currently cultivates 10 hectares of Grand Cru. The company uses Argonne oak barrels, giving its champagnes a distinctive elegance and woody discretion. Vinification in egg-shaped vats facilitates the expression of terroirs and the vibrancy of the wines. An approach to be followed, initiated by Claude Giraud, who presided over the defense of Champagne ratafias and sets an example with a splendid liqueur.
