Georges Laval
Managed by Vincent Laval, the vineyard is located in Cumières, 5 km from Épernay on the right bank of the Marne, a Premier Cru terroir. Organic since 1971, the vines and soils are meticulously tended. Since 2010, 40% of the vineyard has been ploughed with a horse, and the three Champagne grape varieties, most of which come from old vines, give the best of themselves. Indigenous yeasts, no chaptalization, long ageing periods and low doses of sulfur all contribute to the quality of our wines. Laval champagnes are deliciously sapid, and generally more racy than powerful.

95/100
A confidential cuvée of 1,500 bottles. The Pinot Noirs are harvested from plots planted in 1931 and ploughed with Ardennes draught horses. The wine reveals itself unvarnished, with a fine, chiselled, rich nose. Ripe, complex, toasty and rich on the palate, it lingers until the delicate finish. A great wine to be shared by connoisseurs for its own sake.
