A lovely deep gold color for this 2008, which has spent five years in the cellar. The bubbles are fine, abundant and persistent. The winey nose, with notes of gingerbread and candied dried fruit, is matched by a palate with good mousse and flavors of beeswax and yellow fruit. A champagne with an "English taste", to be paired with spicy cuisine, such as curry.
