The initial nose appears closed and will benefit from decanting to reveal aromas of honey, candied orange, mango, quince, and lovely sweet spices. The palate is rich and velvety, supported by a lively acidity that is surprising for its age. It has a lovely, fresh, and briny finish.

The Fournier Longchamps estate, which has been practicing organic farming since 2006, spans 53 exceptional hectares in the Loire Valley. The vineyard spans several appellations, including Savennières, Roche-aux-Moines, Coteaux-du-Layon, and Quart de Chaume. The wines—almost exclusively dry and sweet whites—are mostly single-vineyard cuvées, with particular attention paid to the identity of the terroir.
