Gault&Millau's review
The house is located in the village of Montgueux, just a few kilometers from the city of Troyes, on a limestone terroir prized for the quality of the Chardonnays it produces. Winemakers for five generations, the Doués are among the finest champagnes in the area. A 90% Chardonnay blend, certified organic viticulture, parcel-by-parcel vinification and disgorging without cold storage are just some of the practices used to optimize wine quality. Very much "Montgueux" in character, the wines combine elegance and freshness.
