The Danteny-Mangin champagne house is located on the banks of the Canal Latéral à la Marne, in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The vineyard, made up of vines aged 40 years or more, is planted mainly on the beautiful premier cru terroirs of the village of Avize (grand cru) and Avenay-Val-d'Or (premier cru). It produces 28,000 bottles, including the flagship Clos Jacquin Avize cuvée which, after being corked and stapled, rests for five years in the cellar. Patrick Danteny, a likeable character and lover of fine automobiles, has created a special Porsche Club Motorsport cuvée that every Porsche enthusiast should have in his or her trunk.
