The first aromas invite you to take a stroll in the Landes forest, with balsamic notes of pine sap and heather honey. Candied citrus fruits bring roundness and freshness, underlined by aromatic herbal notes (rosemary). On the palate, a fluid attack leads to the discovery of a very fine texture. Notes of currant, dried apricot and wax. Sweetness is present, but contributes to a lovely fullness before a finish marked by white pepper.

Quand on découvre la magnifique propriété, on pourrait se croire dans la campagne anglaise avec le vaste parc, paysagé par Louis-Bernard Fischer en 1845, et le majestueux château à l’architecture néoclassique. Créé en 1709, le domaine de 350 hectares, dont 62 de vignes, a été transmis jusqu’au propriétaire actuel, le comte Henri de Vaucelles. La visite des chais est passionnante pour comprendre le travail de vinification du sauternes aux arômes confits. À l’heure de la dégustation côté jardins, on profite de la sérénité du lieu.
