Château Bénéhard
Anne-Sophie de Verchère and Philippe de Jaham buy Château Bénéhard. The desire to make wine was there, and they started the story with 44 ares of white grapes and 44 ares of red grapes. They harvested their first crop in 2016. Currently, 20 hectares are planted and certified with numerous labels (Vegan, USDA Organic, Bee friendly, JAS). The wines are made organically and biodynamically, and part of the ageing is in barrel. The estate is a genuine nature reserve, with some 80 beehives, ponds, fallow land, a bird sanctuary... and even its own spring.
