Gault&Millau's review
The Locret family has been growing grapes since the 18th century, but it was in 1920 that Gaston Locret and his wife Marie-Louise Lachaud decided to market their production. The Locret-Lachaud champagne brand was born. Several generations have followed, and it is now Charlotte, the fourth generation, who continues to develop the estate in the village of Hautvillers. Harvesting and handling, she produces three cuvées made from the three main Champagne grape varieties. The family home is open to visitors and also offers a gîte for rent.
