This 2014 100% pinot noir, with 6 years on laths before disgorgement, could stay in the cellar for a few more years. The nose is quite rich, marked by redcurrant jelly and ripe grapes. The exuberance continues on the palate, with notes of pepper, pears and cherry clafoutis. Creamy, gourmand and deep, with a long, fresh finish and the bitterness of cherry pits, this cuvée is destined for gastronomy. Pair it with guinea fowl stewed in cherries or fresh grapes.
