A new addition to the range, this brut nature (unfined) has a clear color with pretty green highlights and a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is clean, straightforward and pure, with notes of lemon, preserved lemon, rhubarb and orchard fruit basket. On the palate, the wine is lively, straightforward, finely aromatic and vibrant. Good length and a chalky finish round off this tasting, which calls for an aperitif and the iodized finesse of fine claire oysters.

Beaugrand

The vineyard, cultivated for four generations, has been planted since 1919 on the hill of Montgueux, near Troyes, where the appellation was obtained by Hélène's grandfather, Léon. The cuvées are made from 45-year-old vines, mostly Chardonnays planted on clay-limestone soil from the Upper Cretaceous period. The Beaugrands have opted for integrated viticulture, favoring grass cover.
