A marked orange tinted golden robe, with an oxidative nose of ripe red apple (cut flesh and stewed), with brioche and sweet cake spices (cinnamon), more typically 2015 than what follows. A surprise on the dry, tart palate, as suddenly Vin Jaune Jura voile, and Fino Sherry flor notes arrive, with flaked almond, marzipan, dried nut shells and flowers, red and green apples, and bitter Granny Smith acidity, finishing with a saline lick of oyster shells. Pair with shellfish and sea food, and this champagne will bring the salt. A certain controlled oxidative style that may please some, surprise or challenge others.
