Chef's Restaurant Of course, this top-class hotel might seem intimidating at first glance to the uninitiated. However, if you can't afford to spend a night or more at the Royal, you can get a taste of the myth by taking a seat at Les Fresques, the flagship table whose panoramic view of the lake and ceilings painted by Gustave Jaulmes are bound to leave you with an unforgettable memory. Opting for the Découverte menu, under the 100 euro mark, is probably the best way to take in the atmosphere of the place: blue lobster, melon, Mitis wine, red fruit and olive oil, pigeon, smoked eggplant, black garlic chard and génépi-scented juice before a trendy dessert of bread ice cream and local beer.
