Chef's Restaurant Yoann Conte is a Roc, a peak, a cape, a peninsula, and above all a pure heart that loves to welcome his friends and the people of Annecy. It was in this spirit that he created this second, more accessible establishment, right next door to the gastro, where local and international clientele mingle. Except that the Roc has in turn become a diamond, even a precious stone, that you can't afford every morning. The 2 main ascent menus, priced at €150 and €185, certainly offer some fine adventures between lake and mountain. But it's on the à la carte menu that you'll find all the chef's creative energy and suggestions of the moment. Pan-fried green asparagus with morel mushrooms in yellow wine is a delicious classic, while white asparagus has a twist with a liquorice and linseed oil sauce. The carrot in all its states is a nod to the chef's extensive menu, as is Eric Jacquier's delicious home-smoked féra. The dishes are as balanced as they are delicious. Squab cooked on a trunk, leg confit lambada dancing with a few French peas, and pork chop with caraway jus plunge us into distant memories, in the shadow of a black hat that Yoann Conte still calls "the chef". Desserts are a bit classic, with a very good vanilla flan, or an all-chocolate one. We'll also remember these raspberry wafers, a "very golden straw" childhood memory. The wine list is supervised by Bastien De Bono, and his selection of wines by the glass is perfectly balanced. Let's rock!
