Prestige Restaurant There are places that inspire and transcend eras, places that are remarkable from the sea and become landmarks of good taste from the land. La Réserve de Beaulieu, one of the last private palaces on the Côte d'Azur, has fascinated for over 140 years and still retains the aura that has seduced the world's elite and enlightened connoisseurs alike, and the Restaurant des Rois is undoubtedly the heart that keeps the venerable house beating with its beautiful energy. In the kitchen, Julien Roucheteau, one of France's "Meilleurs ouvriers de France" (Best Craftsmen in France), holds gastronomic values high, creating a menu that is by turns gourmet, saline, elegant, rocky, delicate, biting, unctuous... fresh and invigorating. Let yourself be lulled by the waves and the ideal service provided by Guillaume Anglade, the restaurant's director, while admiring the tasty offerings on the signature menu at a price that, unfortunately, becomes sun-drenched during the summer. Mediterranean blue crab effiloché, refreshed with a royale of local fennel and seasoned with osciètre caviar, flame-seared red mullet back, rhubarb confit with Trinité olives, bone consommé infused with pits, sweetbread apple glazed in its own juice, mushroom mousseline from the Cap d'Ailloises caves, enhanced with sorrel... Then there are the must-have sweets from pastry chef Benoit Jabouille, the flamboyant Grand Marnier soufflé with candied citrus and the majestic chariot of mignardises. As for the cellar, no adjective is sufficient to describe it - "royal", in fact, and it's up to head sommelier Wilfried Goutorbe to show you all its facets.
