Gault&Millau's review 2024

The fourth offering at the Château de la Gaude was a huge success, with an enticing izakaya under the joint direction of Matthieu Dupuis Baumal and Japanese chef Kazunari Noda. The offer is vast and pleasant, for a well-informed clientele from Aix-en-Provence. Pleasant snacks include tempura, gyozas, chicken karaage, sushi, maki, nigiri and rolls, sashimi, ponzu tataki, and a few fusion ideas such as ceviche, burgers, black cod miso... A lovely ambience in this subdued setting conducive to conviviality.
