Gault&Millau's review2026
It's a little Pays de Cocagne between Lorgues and Flayosc, a large, entirely cloistered winegrowing estate, carefully preserving an authentic Provencal art de vivre. Follow the winding path through the vineyards of Château de Berne, before arriving near the cellars and the 5* Relais & Châteaux hotel, where between the terraces, gardens, rooms and suites, chefs Louis Rameau and Éric Raynal offer classic, exemplary regional cuisine, with signature dishes and seasonal plates. A remarkable mastery of flavors, a combination of bonito effeuillé, eggplant lacquered with honey and miso, saline herbs, braise saint-pierre, reduced rock soup, aniseed sabayon and crispy garlic, lamb from the Pascalone farm and vinegared herb jus, the must-try chocolate bark, creamy chocolate, tonka bean, crispy Piedmont hazelnut cookie, orelys ice cream and La Durance whisky. Well-informed cellar.
