Chef's Restaurant On the heights of Cannes, just a stone's throw from the gastronomic restaurant La Villa Archange, chef Bruno Oger offers his savoir-faire in the service of solid bistro cuisine. Local and foreign customers alike come here to enjoy the angels at a lower price, with a range of 2, 3 and 4-course formulas that highlight local produce and celebrate the seasons with brio. The méli-mélo of asparagus from Haute-Provence with its velvet of smoked olives and basil-spinach pistou is an ode to spring, while the scallops just snacked on one side, accompanied by their still-crisp early vegetables and an aioli with subtle lime juice, offer the best of winter and the very first vegetables of the season. The angels also enliven the dessert cart, with a dozen marvels to keep you on the edge of your sweet tooth. As for the wines, the menu focuses on the main regions, and for those looking for the exceptional, La Villa Archange's cellar book with 400 references is also available. A word about the service, which is pretty well run, but could do with a little more precision (because even among angels, the devil is sometimes in the detail).
