Gourmet Restaurant Back at L'Almandin, Ariege-born Frédéric Bacquié has fallen under the spell of the Mediterranean, offering us an iodized cuisine featuring fish caught nearby, such as bonito rayée (are raspberries essential to the dish?) or turbot accompanied by Cerdagne ceps. Courteous, but disorganized service, in relative comfort (the small room with tightly packed tables and a noisy atmosphere, especially with the pianist and singer who liven things up on weekends). The establishment is renowned and should gradually regain the standing it claims. The cellar is well stocked with local wines (Gardiés, Gauby, Pithon...).
