The historic house was taken over in 2025 by Baptiste Roulière, the restaurateur already at the helm of Chez Fernand on Rue Christine, but the spirit of the place has (fortunately) not changed, the son of this well-known Touraine butcher having chosen to keep Adrien Dumonet, the grandson of the founders, in the kitchen. Regular customers have no doubt been impressed, as the menu has retained its strong bourgeois accent, with the stuffed morels and cream of morels with Jura wine, the (magnificent) grilled fillet of beef with béarnaise sauce and home fries, and the impeccable chocolate mousse, which we would have liked to have been served at a slightly cooler temperature. Superb Belle Epoque decor, sawtooth service and a large, classic cellar that is gradually being modernized.
