Gault&Millau's review 2026

Larger and more central! Cédric Bruneau has moved to a neighborhood where gastronomy is in full swing. It used to be the Holen restaurant. After a total renovation that enhances the warmth of the place, the team now has a very neat, well-thought-out setting, just like the cuisine, which relies on products scrupulously sourced as close as possible to Rennes. At lunch, the menu is "simpler", while in the evening, the 4- or 6-course menus feature more unbridled dishes. For example, fillet of mullet and green asparagus deftly galvanized in a satay sauce, or a vegetable interlude with green beans, wild garlic and granny smith. As for the scallops, they're in the mood for something different, combined with labneh and smoked strawberries. Finally, pear, honey and elderberry combine for a sweet finish. The relaxed service is both smiling and attentive. The cellar makes no secret of its activism ("vins de terroir et de nature"). Food and wine pairings are also available in alcohol-free versions. As for beer lovers, there's something for everyone.
