Gault&Millau's review2026
A magnificent 18th-century château not far from Bayeux, fully renovated in 1988, offering one of the most romantic and chic getaways in Normandy. A 5-star hotel with a wooded park and period-style rooms, the estate is a haven for connoisseurs, who can extend their sensory pleasures at the table with the culinary creations of chefs Didier Robin and Hugo Genty. Their cuisine is a beautiful expression of the seasons—intelligent and thoughtful—that truly showcases the finest ingredients. The dishes are thoughtfully crafted: a starter of snails with lovage, green beans, and chanterelle mushrooms; John Dory with mint, carrots, and chili pepper; and duck with pepperweed, eggplant, and fennel. On the dessert side, Simon Beauruelle offers, among other things, a dessert featuring Manjari chocolate, tarragon, and black cardamom. The service is impeccable.
