The best value for money in Paris? It's hard to say, but it would definitely be in our top 10 if we had to draw one up. We don't come to the Caillebotte for comfort, nor for a candlelit dinner for two, but to treat ourselves to a real two-course meal for just over 40 euros, including dinner and a menu with a real choice. Admittedly, the price of this well-deserved success is a bit of a neck-and-neck affair, and you have to comply with the two-course rule, but the rest is pure bliss with the hazelnut rabbit cromesquis, the veal quasi with salsify and watercress, and the airy cocoa joconde cookie sublimated by homemade amaretti ice cream. Wine cellar in the same spirit as the cuisine, affordable and smart.
