Gourmet Restaurant
This is the Jallerat family's "bistrot en ville", a stone's throw from the cathedral. Chef Benoît Cellot is in charge of the kitchens and, as at Le Grand Monarque, supplies are sourced locally, in an engaging and professional atmosphere. At any time of day, you can enjoy a gourmet aperitif, with Beauceron hummus, Chartres pâté, croque-monsieur or roasted raw-milk Camembert, followed by veal breast with pommes dauphines and floating island with pink pralines and crème anglaise. A vast menu of revisited classics (mayo egg, pepper steak, stuffed cabbage) and a solid cellar, a good time in Chartres.
