What a beautiful family home—and simply a beautiful house—where guests are happy to extend their meal into a full stay. The setting lends itself perfectly to this, nestled between the river and the mountains, and has been passed down through six generations. Louis Arcé embodies renewal, yet also a deep respect for such a rich history, and his cuisine—both traditional and contemporary—proves worthy of the family legacy: Banka trout terrine with confit spinach, herb jelly with trout roe, pig’s trotter with pan-seared foie gras and meat jus, cognac-flambéed wood pigeon with chestnuts and offal toast. Delightful classics for dessert, including Basque cake, baba, Tarte Tatin, and Norwegian omelet… A varied and well-curated wine cellar.
