Chef's Restaurant Speaking and eating French: in this Olympic year, it's almost a mission of public salvation. And it's nicely executed by the brigade set up by Thibault Sombardier for the kitchens of this chic hotel, once home to James Joyce. Very good Parisian food, which makes for a two-toque feast, with foie gras and duck breast opera, lobster quenelles with Armoricaine sauce, sweetbreads with Grenoble condiment sauté and a beautiful white chocolate passion soufflé with mango confit. Not cheap, but well deserved. An attractive lunch menu at €45.
