Gault&Millau's review2026
The Château de Berne offers a true wine-tasting experience on the hills above Lorgues. The long walk through the estate is already a promise, fulfilled by the creations of chef Louis Rameau, who has retained the three toques he earned four years ago. The venue is ideal for all kinds of events, seminars, receptions, and group tours, but guests also appreciate the tranquility of the dining room. The menu naturally highlights regional produce, while the dishes themselves lean toward the prestige of thoughtfully crafted creations: caviar with cucumber and dill, foie gras with tomato and vanilla marmalade, turbot with vin jaune and shellfish, and a Tahitian vanilla soufflé by the estate’s pastry chef, Eric Raynal. Excellent full-course menus featuring five or seven courses, with the estate’s wine list supplemented by a classic selection from other regions.
