Remarkable Restaurant Probity and loyalty made man. Each of our visits reveals much more than regularity: the pleasure of finding a radiant house with a chef of such high calibre is an eternal renewal. Whatever the time of year, a visit to Odile and Jacques Arrayet's is a memorable moment for each of our investigators: the beautiful, flower-filled, bourgeois dining room, full of attention from each and every one of us, and the carefully-crafted dishes that fit in so well with the season. Autumn here? Enjoy meaty scallops in a crispy tartlet with broccoli mousse, cauliflower vinaigrette and homemade ketchup, roasted monkfish with king prawns on a cream of pumpkin, conchiglie and chanterelle mushrooms, foamed cockle broth and farm guinea fowl with chestnuts, reduced jus, porcini mushrooms, potato gratin with grapes and caramelized endive. Desserts are just as comforting: Valrhona chocolate with coffee ganache and Morello cherry gel, or pear poached in a Touraine saffron syrup, pistachio moelleux, matcha tea cream, raspberries and blueberries for a harmonious finish. A fine wine list representing all the vineyards, with an emphasis on local products, and a wide choice of whiskies and rums.
