Renaud CHIROUZE
Chef : 1 restaurant After an international career alongside his wife Katarina, Renaud Chirouze settled in Lot-et-Garonne in 2018, where he offers instant cuisine in a confidential venue.Renaud Chirouze learned the trade and its rigor from his father-in-law, a restaurateur . He went to hotel school by default,"without ever opening a single cookery book".and "never opened a single cookery book", he discovered his true passion with his mother's second husband, at his restaurant near Saint-Péray.
"I then decided to go into exile in England, at the French Horn, a restaurant close to London where the cuisine was very classical, with flambéing in the dining room.It was there that I met a young Slovak woman, Katarina, who was to become my wife. "The couple went on to gain a great deal of experience, much of it in Switzerland ("for the living environment and the comfortable salaries"), before considering starting a family. "But to do that, we obviously wanted to stop moving all the time and set up our own business. We wanted to settle down in the southwest, in the countryside, ideally in a 19th-century house where we could live and open a restaurant" .
Intimate cuisine in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne
While waiting to discover the (very) rare pearl, the couple settled in Les Glycines in Les Eyzies, Dordogne, where Renaud was to hold the position of executive chef for four years. In the end, it was in Lot-et-Garonne ("not necessarily the department we favored at the time") that Renaud and Katarina acquired a former summer residence of one of the world's leading chefs.sidence d'été d'un duc, successively transformed into a girls' school and then a doctor's surgery, where they have chosen to welcome a maximum of twelve customers and offer a pretty instant cuisine.
