Chef de service : 1 restaurant A former banker in Brussels, Natalie Termont co-founded the Moulin de Saint-Vérand in Burgundy with her husband Christophe, following a carefully planned career change.Presentation
Born in Belgium in the late 1960s, Natalie Termont was working at a bank in Brussels when the idea of a career change to the hospitality industry began to take shape. A long-standing project, nurtured as a couple, took shape in 2018 when she and her husband Christophe stopped in front of the Moulin de Saint-Vérand, in Saône-et-Loire, on their way to their second home in the Ardèche. The charm of the place—a hotel-restaurant whose garden overlooks the vineyards of the Mâconnais—did the rest.
Natalie trained in the hospitality industry while Christophe earned his degree in restaurant management. The Moulin opened on July 1, 2020, between two lockdowns. It was a bold move, “provided you’re passionate and well-prepared,” as she and her husband like to point out.
The Backbone of Le Moulin
Today, Natalie Termont manages all the administrative aspects of the establishment, while Christophe oversees the kitchen and the dining room. Discreet yet essential, his role is what keeps everything running smoothly and allows Le Moulin de Saint-Vérand to welcome both overnight guests and regular diners from the surrounding area.
