Sommelier : 1 restaurant With his partner Jimmy Wintz, cocktail expert Martin Mourisson runs one of the most dynamic young restaurants in the Lorraine capital.Like many young people, Martin Mourisson was viscerally unconvinced by the BTS in industrial maintenance to which he had committed himself. To finance his studies, this baker's son had a series of experiences as a barman in several establishments in Metz.
In 2022, Martin Mourisson joined forces with Jimmy Wintz to open La Station .
"That's how the adventure of La Station began. For several years now, I'd been thinking about opening my own restaurant, where I'd work in the dining room.But of course I had to find the chef who could join me in this adventure."It was while working as a bartender at Cerise that Martin Mourisson met Jimmy Wintz, who was working in the kitchen. The two men hit it off, and the barbecue restaurant Martin had been eyeing for two or three years, tucked away in a little cul-de-sac near the Moselle river, came up for sale. "It was a supplier who alerted us that the business was available. We acquired it in 2022 and, after a few administrative twists and turns and some refurbishment work, we welcomed our first customers at the beginning of 2023."
An attractive cocktail menu
Renowned for the quality of its cocktails (signed by Martin Mourisson, of course) and its (small) cellar focusing on local appellations and natural wines, La Station quickly found its clientele, thanks also to the simple, gourmet dishes delivered by Jimmy Wintz.
