Kelly RANGAMA
Chef : 1 restaurantAfter growing up in La Réunion, Kelly Rangama arrived in France to study for a BTS in communications. Recalling the memories she had of working alongside her father behind the stove, preparing Sunday meals, she soon realized that she was on the wrong track. She decided to change her career path and take up cooking. She then enrolled at the Ferrandi school, where she obtained her CAP in one year, before going on to specialize at the École supérieure de cuisine française. In 2009, she began working at Le Saint-James, in Bouliac (Gironde), alongside Michel Portos. There, she met pastry chef Jérôme Devreese, her future husband and business partner.
In 2010, Kelly Rangama moved to Paris. For six years, she worked alongside Thomas Boullault at L'Arôme, where she finished as sous-chef. In 2016, she moved up the ranks and took command of the kitchens at Le Boutary, in the 6th arrondissement. In this way, she began to make a name for herself and attract the spotlight, particularly from the TV show "Top Chef", which put her in the spotlight during season 8. When she left in 2017, she hosted her own show, "Voyages et Délices by Chef Kelly", broadcast on France Ô and then France 3.
In 2019, the chef and her partner opened Le Faham (named after an orchid endemic to the Mascarene Islands, used to perfume arranged rums). Here, she distinguishes herself by proposing a cuisine that is "spicy, off the beaten track, made up of innovative combinations and based onacidity", a singularity that immediately earned her 2 Gault&Millau toques.
