Chef de service : 1 restaurant Élodie Ramsamy entered the restaurant business by chance, and for over 10 years has been blossoming at Le Quai, one of Maison Chabran's restaurants.Élodie Ramsamy, daughter of a plasterer-painter and an administrative executive in the education sector, discovered her passion for service during a stay in England. "After my baccalaureate in literature, I wanted to go and work in England for a few months. It was either as an au pair or as a waitress if you didn't have any qualifications.I spent six wonderful months in the north of the country before returning to France. "
She and Carole Chabranmake a great team
She then enrolled in a BTS at the Lycée hôtelier Bellerive in Vienne, and worked every weekend at the Domaine de Clairefontaine in Chonas-l'Amballan. After some experience, notably at Le Beau Rivage in Condrieu, Élodie Ramsamy joined Le Quai in Tain-l'Hermitage, one of the five restaurants owned by the Chabranfamily. Having grown up on the Hermitage hillside, she now lives just across the river in Tournon-sur-Rhône.
Her meeting with Carole Chabran was decisive: "Sometimes, without really knowing why, the current passes immediately between two people," she confides. I'm blossoming in this human-scale establishment, where I hold the position of front-of-house manager. My husband is the head chef, and we both manage to reconcile family life, with our two young children, and professional life in an environment we particularly enjoy." Gault&Millau awarded her the Accueil Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes 2025 trophy .
