Elodie et Aurore CHAPUY
Head for the Côte des Blancs and Oger, one of its most famous villages and one of Champagne's 17 Grands Crus, to meet Elodie and Aurore Chapuy, the third generation to run the family domaine.
More than a century of vine-growing has been part of the family tradition, but it was their grandfather, Serge, who founded the brand in 1952 to sell champagne. Following in their father Arnold's footsteps, the two sisters now run the estate with four hands. Elodie has been in charge of sales and marketing since 2003, while Aurore, who joined the domaine in 2008, applies her talents to production, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Their "playground"? 9 hectares planted almost exclusively with Chardonnay. through three ranges, they seek to highlight the great white grape variety of Champagne in its fruity, crystalline and airy expression, the Grand Cru Oger, of course, the true DNA of the house, and the nuances of the terroirs specific to the estate with the parcel-based cuvées of the "Unique" trilogy.
