You don't know Dina Nikolaou? Well, she's a TV celebrity in Greece! Head of several TV shows ("Ma cuisine grecque" in France, "Cuisiner avec Dina" and "Les saveurs grecques" in Greece) and author of numerous recipe books (includingce) and author of numerous cookbooks (including Greece, the authentic cuisine of Dina Nikolaou and Crete, to be published in late 2023), the culinary hostess is a must-see in her native country. "One day, I was invited on television to talk about my book. They liked the way I presented the recipe so much that they asked me to be part of a program every morning in the cooking section. That'show it all started!" she explains.

The daughters of tobacco growers, she and her sister Maria discovered a real love for France during their studies. "Living in Paris whetted my appetite for gastronomy, and I was amazed to find myself in an environment that encompassed all the cuisines of the world," confides Dina Nikolaou. It was then that she decided to learn French cuisine. After Le Cordon Bleu, the Ritz Escoffier school, Alain Ducasse training courses and the Ateliers Lenôtre, the young woman was ready to take the plunge.

Her goal: to introduce the French to the art of Greek cuisine. "My sister and I were thinking how sad it was that they had this image of our cuisine as being made up of tourist dishes, whereas our gastronomy dates back to Antiquity. "In 2005, her dream came true with the opening of Evi Evane, or "à votre santé", in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. While Dina imagines the menus, Maria, her "alter ego", takes care of management and customer service. The address has boasted 2 Gault&Millau toques since 2018. The restaurants have since been joined by five caterers and delicatessens in Paris.
