Let's meet at Courmas, on the Petite Montagne de Reims... Co-manager, owner and winemaker, Céline Bourgeois has been "piloting" the family estate with her brother Jérôme since 2006.While studying, Céline Bourgeois headed south, to Montpellier to be precise, before taking over the reins of the family domaine in 2006, with her brother Jérôme. The duo share the tasks: he in the vineyard, she in the cellar, administration and sales. On 7 hectares, planted mainly in the commune of Courmas, and managed according to the standards imposed by HVE and Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC) certification, they are fortunate to grow the three main local grape varieties, a lot of pinot meunier, a little pinot noir and chardonnay. A boon for building varied blends. Like 70 other members, Céline benefits from the skills and facilities of the local cooperative - she has been its president for a year - which vinifies on her behalf. "We then collect our bottles on laths and manage our own disgorging," she explains. In all, she and her brother produce eight cuvées - some of which are vintage - characterized by varied blends, different dosages, varying degrees of ageing...
