Presentation

Although he grew up in the family hotel, like his two younger brothers with whom he is now a partner, Bruno Casassus didn't immediately turn to the restaurant business. He preferred to earn a degree in science before entering the Toulouse hotel school, where his father, Jacques, was then a cookery teacher .

i grew up at the Hotel Dupont," he recalls, "the family hotel of rugby player Antoine, my cousin, and of course I've always had a passion for the business, but with the clear aim of working in the dining room. I obtained a BTS with an option in marketing, before leaving for Malaysia for ten years where, after further studies in hotel management, I worked as an auditor and trainer all over the world. A rich and intense period in my life. "

Three brothers, one project

But the call of the country was felt when his two younger brothers - Vincent the chef and Fabien the pastry chef - asked him to join them at the helm of the legendary Hôtel de France in Auch. "When I joined them in 2010, André Daguin still owned the hotel.He was always very kind to us, always looking after his baby until we were in a position to acquire the walls." This will happen in 2019, just a few months before the death of the patriarch, who will not have had the chance to see the renovation work completed .

Passionate about his profession, Bruno Casassus was awarded the MOF Maître d'hôtel title in 2018, after failing to reach the final three years earlier. A fine accolade that reflects on this family home where the three brothers work with their wives - "without the slightest hitch, or almost," adds our 2025 winner of the Accueil Occitanie trophy.
