Alexandre PRAT
The estate founded by his parents in 1975 will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary in 2025! Eleven years ago, Alexandre Prat returned to the Vert-Toulon estate, which he now runs with his sister. After a career in the French Air Force, 47-year-old Alexandre Prat couldn't resist the temptation to return to the Champagne fold. Far from the big trading houses, the family domaine is a typical profile of independent winegrowers, harvesting and handling. In short, they do everything from A to Z, from cultivating their vines to bottling their wines. The estate's originality? The diversity of its terroirs... Working 35 hectares of vines in 22 different villages and three départements! While the heart of the estate beats in the Sézannais region, twenty minutes from Epernay, Alexandre and his family also own vines in Bar-sur-Aube, much further south, and in Château-Thierry, in the Marne Valley. With their three grape varieties, chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier, they produce a Tradition range of seven cuvées - brut, demi-sec, rosé, vintage, blanc de blancs Premier cru - and the exclusive champagnes of another brand, Champagne Georges Delachapelle, created exclusively for export.
