Nolwenn Corre: Grande de Demain Bretagne, 10 years after the Trophée Jeune Talent

Honored as a Jeune Talent 10 years ago to the day, Nolwenn Corre, chef at Hostellerie de la Pointe Saint-Mathieu (3 toques) in Plougonvelin, Finistère, today receives the Grand de Demain award. Awarded this Monday 1ᵉʳ June 2026 at Domaine du Liziec in Brittany.

On Monday, as part of the Gault&Millau Tour Bretagne 2026, Breton chef Nolwenn Corre was awarded the Grand de Demain trophy, in recognition of a modern gastronomy that places the sea air of Finistère at its heart.

From the Isle of Beauty to Finistère

In 2014, Nolwenn Corre worked alongside chef Jean-Luc L'Hourre at Le Marinca in Corsica. Not yet ready to take flight, she nevertheless felt the urge to take over the family inn nestled on the tip of Finistère, bought in 1954 by her grandparents and subsequently run by her parents. As soon as she took over, she revitalized the premises and the establishment became theHostellerie de la Pointe Saint-Mathieu. She refined her gastronomic approach by reducing the restaurant's capacity (from 80 to 30 covers) to focus on quality, and launched a convivial bistro section.

This strategy paid off: in 2016, she was awarded the Trophée Jeune Talent by the Guide Jaune. A true ambassador for the Breton terroir, she continues to cultivate her connection to the land, and passionately favors short distribution channels.

A gift for the whole house

Today, she receives the Grande de Demain award, presented by Paul Dodin of Robur. This distinction recognizes her refined and audacious cuisine, which sublimates the best that Brittany has to offer. Flattered, the young chef is honored to receive this award: " When I heard the news, I was very happy, I wasn't expecting it. "In addition to a personal distinction, the award also recognizes a team effort, as she points out: " It's a great honor because I think it's the Grande de Demain title, but above all it's a great team for tomorrow, and that's essential. It's a collective effort, " she concludes, " It's a gift for the whole house. "
