Gault&Millau Magazine: What's in Issue 15?

The 15th issue of Gault&Millau is now on newsstands! This new issue features encounters, expertise, and stories from enthusiasts, with a special section dedicated to chocolate.

Lila Rollet

From chocolate to the vineyards of the Corbières, and including the dishes ofAnne-Sophie Pic, the 15th issue of the Guide Jaune explores all the facets of gastronomy. Highlights include a feature exploring every facet of chocolate (p. 68), as well as an interview with Anne-Sophie Pic about her passion for art (p. 23). A must-read: a poignant report on the winemakers who are rebuilding their lives after the Corbières fire (p. 133).

A Special Issue on Chocolate

According to Gault&Millau’s editor-in-chief, Philippe Toinard, the must-read article in this special chocolate feature is the spotlight on eleven ethical, committed, and endearing chocolatiers (p. 89): “They’re breaking new ground. For most of them, this is a career change into the world of chocolate. There’s something more eco-conscious about their way of thinking. It marks a shift toward a new generation of chocolatiers we haven’t seen before—they have a different vision of the world of chocolate.”

Art on a Plate

In this fifteenth issue, Gault&Millau featured an interview with Anne-Sophie Pic. It was an opportunity for the chef to share her passion for art. “I was struck by her delicacy and her artistry, which she expresses through her choice of colors and the harmony of forms, explains the editor-in-chief.

In the Corbières, the winemakers’ struggle in the wake of the fire

Also featured in this new issue: the resilience of winemakers in the Corbières after the devastating fire (p. 133). “With this article, we wanted to try to understand how winemakers are recovering after such an event. We ask ourselves: at what point do they decide to give up? But the fact is, they haven’t given up. Of the three winemakers we interviewed, it was a glimmer of hope—like a leaf that didn’t burn—that led them to decide not to give up.”

The magazine is available at newsstands throughout France as well as on the Gault&Millau online store. Share your reading moments with us using the hashtag #gaultmillaulemagazine on Instagram!
