La Paulée, an event designed to highlight the richness of Loire wines, celebrates its fortieth anniversary on Sunday March 24, 2024. For the occasion, Emmanuel Renaut will orchestrate an exceptional dinner in Chartres.

Event in Chartres! On Sunday, March 24, 2024, the city will celebrate the 40ᵉ edition of La Paulée des Vins de Loire. Winegrowers' market, dinner with a renowned chef... Discover the day's mouth-watering program.

Emmanuel Renaut as guest of honor

La Paulée is first and foremost a traditional winegrowers' market, to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., under the Halles de Chartres on Place Billard. It will be an opportunity to meet winegrowers from the Loire appellations, selected by organizer Bertrand Jallerat, Olivier Poussier (World's Best Sommelier in 2000), Nicolas Duclos (sommelier at the Grand Monarque) and the La Paulée des Vins de Loire association. This event will be the perfect opportunity to acquire bottles that are sometimes hard to find.

But that's not all! For its 40ᵉ edition, La Paulée will be the setting for an emblematic dinner produced by Emmanuel Renaut, chef of the Flocons de Sel restaurant in Megève and Gault&Millau d'Or 2019 for the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region, accompanied by Thomas Parnaud, resident chef at Le Georges restaurant (3 toques), within the Hôtel Le Grand Monarque, in Chartres. Together, they will propose a menu based on game, hunting and nature. "I quickly realized that nature was not only a source of inspiration, but also a source of concern. To preserve it, you first have to appreciate it. Through my cooking, I try to convey a message that goes beyond emotions", says Emmanuel Renaut. These exceptional dishes will of course be paired with the great Loire wines presented throughout the day.
