In Limogne, this young culinary talent shines in the Gault&Millau awards
Lucie Fuan, from La Table de Charrou (2 toques) in Limogne-en-Quercy, receives the Jeune Talent en Salle 2026 trophy for the Occitanie-Andorre region.
Lucie Fuan, head chef at La Table de Charrou (2 toques) in Limogne-en-Quercy, was honored on Monday April 13, 2026, at the Domaine de la Trinité in Mauguio, during the Gault&Millau Tour Occitanie-Andorre. The award, presented by Nespresso's Éric Ledan, honors the culinary talents who are the pillars of the gastronomic experience.
An early vocation
Born in Cahors in 1998, Lucie Fuan grew up in an environment where products and taste were central, her parents being butchers and pork butchers. From an early age, she developed a passion for restaurant pastry-making, and chose to follow this path.
Trained at the Lycée Hôtelier in Saint-Chély-d'Apcher, she went on to Beaune, where she specialized in the wine trade. It was here that she met Charles, future sommelier and adventure companion.
A project forged together
Driven by a desire to discover the world, the couple took off for New Zealand in early 2020. But the health crisis cut their experience short. On their return to the Lot, they got involved in the family butcher's shop, and together developed an approach to the product and to wine. Their entrepreneurial spirit quickly took hold. In 2023, they opened their own restaurant in a former sheepfold a few kilometers from Limogne-en-Quercy.
at La Table de Charrou, everything is based on a precise balance: Charles in the kitchen, Lucie between pastry-making and the dining room. A duo organization, with no back-up, that shows total commitment. In the dining room, Lucie Fuan embodies sincere, attentive hospitality, while actively participating in the overall identity of the place, notably through the construction of a cellar focused on small-scale producers. The cuisine, centered on meat, draws on the family's roots while maintaining a contemporary vision.
With this Jeune Talent en Salle award, Gault&Millau salutes a committed young professional, whose energy and versatility contribute fully to the success of a warm and promising address.
