Guide France 2026: the latest edition of the Yellow Guide is now available in bookshops

Since 1972, Gault&Millau has set the standard in the world of gastronomy and hospitality. through its pages, the yellow guide reveals the best addresses, the talents of today and tomorrow, and the chefs who make French gastronomy shine.
A year in search of France's finest talent
"What the new generation has understood is that the moment spent in a restaurant must be a successful one", says Marc Esquerré, Director of Guides and Surveys. To keep pace with an industry in perpetual evolution, Gault&Millau continues to support professionals in the kitchen, pastry shop, sommelier and dining room. Like the world of gastronomy, Gault&Millau is evolving with the times, using new criteria to keep pace with this transition.
The Guide France 2026 will be the ideal companion for finding good addresses among the 2,100 establishments listed, from neighborhood hangouts to exceptional dining experiences. Each year, our teams rigorously select the establishments to be included in the national guide, after a year of surveys and exchanges across France. These establishments are selected for the experience they offer, from setting to plate.
What's new in Guide France 2026
"We wanted to make the guide's first booklet more embodied. Every chef is represented," explains guide editor Philippe Toinard. More space is given to portraits of the 24 nominees for the Trophées de l'Année, in addition to retrospectives of all the Cuisiniers de l'Année, all the winners of the 2025 regional awards and the winners of the Dotation Jeune Talent. This new edition features 80 exceptional and prestigious restaurants, including 7 new entrants.
Finally, to make reading more pleasant and accessing the various information easier, the guide has been given a new, clearer and more legible typography and layout.
