EatFilm: the new festival for gourmet film buffs

EatFilm: the new festival for gourmet film buffs

If food is the absolute mirror of our times, then the EatFilm documentary film festival is the new event not to be missed. In June, come and watch, taste and talk about food.

Ambre Prevel

From June 11 to 14, 2026, the first edition of the EatFilm festival takes its place at CiNey, the new 1,500 m² hybrid space in the 18ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. For this first edition, Manon Fleury, the chef at the twice-touted Datil restaurant, will take on the role of ambassador.

A unique festival combining seventh art and food

at the crossroads of gastronomy and cinema, this new four-day festival brings together food enthusiasts, lovers of the seventh art and the culturally curious around a shared, immersive program. For its founder Katerina Drozdova, creating a festival combining cinema and gastronomy was an obvious choice: "Creating Eatfilm in Paris came quite naturally. France is a country where gastronomy and cinema have long held a singular cultural position. Organizing an international festival dedicated to these two disciplines here was a no-brainer," she says.

On the festival menu?

Ten food-related documentaries, meetings with the filmmakers, round-table discussions and tastings for those with a sweet tooth. From apprenticeships in vocational high schools hôtelier votre service by Julie Talon), to the world porridge championship(La spatule d'Or by Constantine Costi), fermentation processes(En Fermentation by Jonathan Cianfrani) and gleaning(Les Glaneurs et la Glaneuse by Agnès Varda), these ten documentaries cover a wide range of themes. Around these ten international films, the festival invites filmmakers, chefs and audiences to dialogue around cinema and gastronomy, while discussing ecology, feminism, social struggles and pop-culture.
