Welcome to Beaujonomie returns for a 5th edition

Bienvenue en Beaujonomie returns from June 14 to 16, 2024, and will bring together nearly 1,500 guests for meals hosted in the vineyards and cellars of the Beaujolais estate. Here's how to reserve your place.

Here we go for a fifth edition! From June 14 to 16, 2024, Bienvenue en Beaujonomie will once again bring together nearly 1,500 guests for a moment of sharing, conviviality and, above all, gastronomy. What's the program of festivities? How do I reserve a place? Gault&Millau explains everything.

50 meals in an exceptional setting

As every year, Bienvenue en Beaujonomie will be held on the third weekend in June in the Beaujolais vineyards, between Lyon and Mâcon. Over three days, more than fifty meals will be organized in vineyards, gardens, in the heart of a château or even in a cellar. Some fifty estates, wineries and houses are taking part, concocting a gourmet moment for the occasion in association with a chef or the estate's cordon bleu. Hosts can also offer concerts, plays, storytelling, games, vineyard walks and tasting workshops, all set in the magnificent Beaujolais countryside.

Meals from 30 to 160 euros

The Beaujolais vineyards cover 13,500 hectares, claimed by the twelve Beaujolais appellations. In total, this represents almost 2,000 estates, 9 cooperative wineries and 200 wine merchants.

Would you like to take part in one of Bienvenue en Beaujonomie's meals? From May 2, 2024, visit the event website to select the event that suits you best: location, menu designed by the hosts or a chef, food and wine pairings, activities on offer. Meals are organized at lunchtime and in the evening, in the estates, cellars and houses between the Pierres Dorées and Saint-Amour. There's something to suit every budget, from 30 to 160 euros, depending on location and menu.

When chefs take to the high seas

Cruise ships and gastronomy form a well-known duo. Both have been sailing the horizon since the early 20th century. Today, while the sector seems to be experiencing neither crisis nor slowdown, cruise lines are increasingly calling on chefs whose careers are already well established on land, to appeal to an inevitably volatile clientele.
