Gault&Millau's review 2025

Lovers of Basque cuisine (and there are many) swear by this fine address, owned by a famous family of hotel restaurateurs who take turns at the stove from father to son, with Xabi now officiating for the savory side while his brother Patrice delights all sweet tooths. To give guests the pleasure of prolonging their stay, they renovated the hotel in 2022, housing 13 warm and cosy rooms, decorated with furniture by local craftsmen. The establishment also boasts a beautiful swimming pool and an outdoor spa, the "Cabane Nordique", housing a 38°C sauna and Nordic bath near the aromatic herb garden, in the heart of a 2-hectare estate on the edge of the forest. All this just a few kilometers from Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
