Exceptional Hotel Set on the legendary Promenade des Anglais, this legendary palace was once the favorite refuge of Chagall, Cocteau and Grace Kelly. It has survived the death of Jeanne Augier, its emblematic owner, thanks to the energy of its director Lionel Servant, who has preserved its unique charm while infusing it with a more contemporary, eco-friendly dynamic (the hotel has been awarded the European ecolabel). Listed as a historical monument, the Negresco boasts 128 rooms and suites (not including the Angel Room, nestled under the hotel's dome), magnificently decorated in the great French and Italian styles (Louis XIII, Venetian or modern art), and enriched by the many works of art (Renoir, Niki de Saint Phalle, Vasarely) that once belonged to Jeanne Augier. Other highlights? Three restaurants: La Rotonde, a brasserie-style restaurant to be completely revamped in 2019, Le Chantecler, a gourmet restaurant, and, in fine weather, Le Restaurant de la Plage, all headed up by young chef (MOF) Virginie Basselot. A mythical place, to be (re)discovered absolutely.
