The Troisgros family doesn't just treat us to their unique cuisine, they also offer us the chance to experience a rare place, a symbol of authentic and sincere sharing of their art of living. To this end, she commissioned architect Patrick Bouchain to design the estate, which includes the former cowshed converted into a restaurant, the farmhouse and tower, magnificently transformed into a gîte and, finally, the cadoles, named after the former shelters of the region's winegrowers. These have been reinvented in the form of round huts on stilts. Extraordinary places that combine large wooden terraces, living rooms adorned with beautiful designer objects and bedrooms that look like cosy nests. Breakfast is delivered in baskets each morning. When you wake up, you can sit out on the terrace to sample local delicacies, laze around and plan your day. You're spoilt for choice: join the restaurant or set off to discover the nuggets in the surrounding area: the banks of the Loire, the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, its castle and cobbled streets.
