Far from the hustle and bustle of the coast, people come here to sample the Basque-Béarn cuisine of brothers Martin and Louis Isabal, who have now passed the reins on to Xavier. You'll then succumb to the charm of this Teritoria member's mansion, where guests are welcomed as friends in the 26 rooms and suites (including 2 PMR rooms), with their pure lines, antique furniture and luminous tones. The delightful garden and vegetable patch boast a swimming pool with adjoining fitness room and a sauna for a wellness break. The perfect place to savour unspoilt Basque culture and discover the nuggets of the surrounding countryside: the village of Ainhoa and its superb 17th-century houses, the nearby forest and its hiking trails, home to the Pottoks, the wild Basque horses.
