Gault&Millau's review 2025

Just a stone's throw from the Canal du Midi, this 19th-century château stands proudly amid some 60 hours of vineyards and orchards. Converted into a hotel residence, it now houses a dozen rooms and suites in the historic buildings and some twenty villas in the outbuildings. All elegantly furnished with waxed parquet floors, wood panelling, period furniture and large windows opening onto the vineyards or the château courtyard. Wine-lovers will be delighted to discover the estate and its various grape varieties, before sampling Mediterranean cuisine by chef Willy Benjamin, served in the restaurant or on the large terrace with its panoramic view of the pool. The backdrop is the ocean of vines and the foothills of the Pyrenees.
